I received an interesting bit of spam email yesterday with the above subject line (not including "Spam DTC Ad", which I threw in there just for the benefit of search engines).
Maybe you've gotten this message too.
It's a Korean spam ad for Cilais and Viagra (sorry, no Levitra).
Aside form the fact that I cannot read Korean and my computer can't display the Korean character set, this ad was effective because of its graphics, which like most print DTC ad these days, dominated the ad space.
Anyway, I think you will enjoy this tongue-in-cheek interpretation of the graphical images in this ad. It's very reminiscent of my attempt to interpret Lincoln and beaver in the Rozerem print ad. Goes to show that DTC principles apply to spam as well.
For more on this, see today's post to Pharma Marketing Blog.
P.S. You don't have to read Korean to enjoy this post. However, if you can read Korean, perhaps you can translate the small bit of text that appears in the graphics.
