Now that Plan B is approved for sale OTC and by prescription, Barr Pharmaceuticals, the marketer of Plan B in the US, is faced with the task of marketing it. What's their marketing "plan A" for Plan B?
Barr says it is "committed to responsible marketing with this product." However, the first print ad for Plan B uses a not-so-subtle approach to positioning the product with a message that plays upon fears unemcumbered by facts.
But let's not dwell upon that. Instead, let's think of of ways that Barr may effectively market Plan B.
