Accountability: Imported vs. Domestic

Posted: August 2, 2006

A few days ago, I posted a PhRMA Intern! Adventure focused on drug importation from Canada. In that post I questioned the Terrorist Card Tactic employed by friends of the drug industry to scare the public.

Harry Sweeney posted a comment to that post suggesting that politicians voting in favor of drug importation be held accountable for any resultant deaths. He also said some other things.

What about domestic drugs? Who's accountable for the deaths caused by adverse events of FDA-approved drugs sold right here in the US?

Finally, can you define "demagoguery"?

For more on this, read today's post to Pharma Marketing Blog.
