Yesterday I posted a commentary on "disease mongering" in which I mentioned Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) as an example.

This generated some comments from members of this listserv about the prevalence of that condition as reported by the Restless Leg Syndrome Foundation, a non-profit patient organization.

I did some additional investigation of the RLS Foundation and its ties to GSK and Boehringer Ingelheim -- the two pharma companies that have drugs to treat RLS -- and it revealed a few interesting connections beyond GSK being a "Gold Sponsor."
