Less DTC, Better Public Image?

Posted: December 7, 2005
A lot of attention is being paid these days to pharma's tarnished public image. The discussion regarding J&J's reputation by several members of the online PHARMA-MKTING discussion group shed further light on the relationship between DTC and pharma's image crisis.

In today's post to Pharma Marketing Blog, I summarize yesterday's online discussion and focus on other reasons for J&J's good reputation aside from its handling of the 1980's Tylenol tampering situation. That was so long ago! That was then, as they say. Recently, J&J has neglected to follow its own "gold standard" of crisis management (I give an example).

Today's Pharma Marketing Blog post also pays tribute to another 1980's defining moment much in the news today: the death of John Lennon.
